theme questions
What is the difference between getting "inspiration" from another piece and "stealing" an idea?
-I think that the difference between inspiration and stealing an idea is that artist are inspired to create art along the lines or a similar idea of another artist, and when an artist steals they copy what the other artist did exactly.
Is it okay to use part of an idea or part of another picture in your piece if you change something or give credit to the original source?
-Yes I think that it is perfectly fine if you use part of another picture in your peice if given credit or changed to make it your own version.

my final piece
Why did you combine the pieces you did?
-I chose to combine a tree and a moon because I thought it would be a cool idea to give the illusion that the tree is so tall it's reaching into space and touching the moon.
Why did you pick this medium? Was it because you enjoy working with it? Or was it to match your idea?
-I chose to paint my peice in water colors because I thougt it would be something different than normal acrylic paint and I thought it would be fun to incorporate the techniques that we learned in class into my peice. It also helped match my idea a little bit making it super easy to blend the dark sky of space into the normal sky back on earth.
If you were to change ONE thing about your piece what would it be?
-If I could change one thing about my piece I would've spent a little more time working on my moon making it more realistic and have the darker spots from the dark side of the moon blend a little bit more into the lighter part.
What is the most successful thing about your art piece?
-I thought that the mose successful thing about my piece was the detail in the grass and making it look likelife. It took me a span of about 3 days to fully complete the grass because I had to wait for certain areas to dry before I could go in with the dry brush technique to add in the individual blades of grass.
