newspaper art
I really enjoyed tihs mini project and working with this medium in particular. I loved the fact that the ideas were endless on what we could do for our piece. I think that this medium is super versatile because you could sculpt with it, draw on it, cut it, and glue it to things and that's what I think I enjoyed most about it. I think my peice was successful because of how simple it is but yet really pretty and creative at the same time. I would consider changing the pictures that I drew on the newspaper into something that represents me a bit more next time.
Land art
I really love the way that this piece turned out and how creative we were able to be by using things only found in nature to make this particular design. I liked the fact that we were able to work in groups because I feel that we were really able to get creative within the groups by being able to brainstorm with others. I think this piece is successful by the way that it catches peoples attention due to it's color and I like the way that we layered the flowers so that they were facing out in all directions. If I were to go back and change anthing about this I would've made it a bit bigger, but unfortunately we ran out of time and weren't able to make it as big as we had originally wished it to be.
Clay animal
This peice is by far my favorite out of the bunch. I found that I really enjoyed sculpting out of clay and that I'm actually decent at it. I think this piece is successful because first off, it's a panda, and you can't go wrong with pandas. I also got to work with clay and learned how to sculpt a simple pinch pot into an animal and I thought that that was very cool and enjoyed it quite a lot. If I could go back and change anything I think that I would attempt to add a bit more detail by adding fur.
